George Weir

George has been a professional photographer for more than thirty-five years. He graduated from Napier University, Edinburgh, Scotland. He now spends most of his time with his wife Carol and dog, Sandy, on their forty-seven foot Motor Yacht. "Off the Grid" is a place of peace, quiet, solitude and this is where all of the images here are conceived and produced. George may be described as an "old school" photographer; he shoots everything with simple cameras and lenses and always in manual mode. He usually takes only one lens at a time when he goes out he relishes the self imposed discipline that comes from using a single low capacity memory card on any outing. He believes that this stopping and thinking helps him see and make better images.
